Sophie came home with me at 8 weeks of age and was a real handful because
she was so wild and out of control! I started her in obedience at 6 months
of age and told my instructor, Cathy Niles I couldn’t stand the way she
was so excited and crazy about everything! Cathy assured me this is what I
wanted in an obedience dog!
I guess Cathy was right about Sophie because she turned out to be a
great obedience dog earning her first High In Trial out of the Novice B
class with a 199.5!!! Open was a little harder because of the out of sight
stays. She sailed through Utility but again the UDX was very difficult
because of the stay problems! Then the happy day came when we completed
our OTCH, winning most of her points out of the utility
classes!
Sophie continues to show, has multiple High in Trials, and High
Combines and has been nationally ranked. She participated in the 1999
Central Regional Utility Division and came in 6th place. Sophie
is my second OTCH dog! |
