OTCH Itsy Bitsy Cookie Monster - Bitsy

2001

I adopted Bitsy after she had been rescued from a shelter in 1993. Her
age at the time was estimated to be 4-5 years, which would make her
12-13 when she got her OTCH.

Bitsy has always been fun to train and has learned fast, but because of
her background, she has had confidence problems. And, because of her
breed traits, she has required much work and the correct approach to get
her to perform exercises correctly.

Cathy gave me the "magic formula" to turn us into a team and improve our
performance to the level to earn OTCH points. The "magic formula" took
many months of hard work, mainly on me.

The high points of her career were when she placed 3rd in the Toy Group
at the AKC Invitational. When she got her first First Place for 27
points. When she won both classes on the same day, HC and HIT. And when she got her OTCH, and so many people were so happy for us.

Because of her age, Bitsy is near the end of her career, but even when
she can't show any more, we'll keep going to class because we both enjoy
it so much and all the group who have been so helpful and supportive.

I have obedience titled six different breeds since I began showing in obedience in 1962, but Bitsy is my first OTCH.
