Louie was my first Border Collie. He was always a
challenge to train, because as soon as he got the concept of what I
wanted he figured he knew a way that would be better. He loved to train
and show. This made it fun for both of us but needless to say he made
the training interesting.
His novice career was not stellar. Open was somewhat
better and utility was an experience. But we persevered and he earned
his OTCh in style winning High in Trial and High Combined the day he
finished. Among his many High in Trial and High Combined at shows he
also placed at a Gaines event and ranked in First and Foremost the year
before he retired. Although there was no UDX until after he retired, on
checking his show record the UDX was a feat, which he would have easily
accomplished.
Louie was a good looking Border Collie who cut an
imposing figure in the obedience ring. It was a pleasure to have owned
him. I loved you Louie. |
